La narrazione cinematografica nel processo di costruzione del paesaggio

Cinematic Narrative in the Processes of Landscape Construction. In this paper, we will investigate the landscape construction process through cinematic narrative, from the geographical imaginary, which feeds the re-invention brought about by cinematic space, passing through the diffusion of new meanings and symbols, back to the point of departure, the imaginary which, filled with new horizons, expands the limits and the possible interpretations of perceived space. We also explore the transition from cinematic space (the “cinematic world” which induces viewers to go to the places they watched) to real space, as part of that phenomenon referred to as movie-induced tourism. The case study is the geographical “real space” of Apulia and the “cinematic space” of those film productions which focus on it, looking at the Apulia Film Commission’s role in the dissemination of Apulian landscapes, or better, “mediascapes”.
