Merging the green transition with the digital transformation of economic systems in the ‘twin transition’ has become a primary focus for policymakers. In spite of this increased attention, limited is the literature on how the determinants and impacts of combining green and digital innovations vary across regions. This special issue aims to fill this gap. Its eight papers address a broad spectrum of topics, including the regional endowment of scientific knowledge and technologies for the twin transition, and its application in specific key domains (such as the circular economy and electric mobility), policy measures and institutional settings.

Abstract
Merging the green transition with the digital transformation of economic systems in the ‘twin transition’ has become a primary focus for policymakers. In spite of this increased attention, limited is the literature on how the determinants and impacts of combining green and digital innovations vary across regions. This special issue aims to fill this gap. Its eight papers address a broad spectrum of topics, including the regional endowment of scientific knowledge and technologies for the twin transition, and its application in specific key domains (such as the circular economy and electric mobility), policy measures and institutional settings.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
