Cosmic rays with energy around and in excess of 10(20) eV have been detected. Despite the uncertainties associated with the difficult measurements of extremely low fluxes (about a particle per square kilometer per century) the same existence of such high energy cosmic rays raises important questions that deserve an appropriate answer. I briefly summarize here what are these questions and how to look for the answers.

Abstract
Cosmic rays with energy around and in excess of 10(20) eV have been detected. Despite the uncertainties associated with the difficult measurements of extremely low fluxes (about a particle per square kilometer per century) the same existence of such high energy cosmic rays raises important questions that deserve an appropriate answer. I briefly summarize here what are these questions and how to look for the answers.File in questo prodotto:
